The nation's capital through November is hosting Korean content programs for foreign tourists.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Sept. 13 said it will run a Hallyu (Korean Wave)-themed interactive tourism program for those who became Hallyu fans after exposure to domestic content like K-dramas and K-pop.

In collaboration with leading Hallyu-related companies, the city through November is running programs for foreign visitors to learn about not only Korean pop culture but also domestic beauty and makeup, Hansik (traditional food) and traditional culture.

Classes in K-pop dance will teach choreography and those in Korean beauty application of makeup like Hallyu actors or making one's own.

Those interested in domestic food and traditional culture can take classes in cooking Hansik. Other programs include brewing makgeolli (milky rice wine) or other traditional alcoholic beverages and making crafts with masters who have workshops in Seoul's Bukchon Hanok Village.

The newly launched K-culture Camp will allow foreign youths interested in Korean culture to experience "learn-cation" (educational tourism) that goes beyond simply visiting tourist attractions.

Each program is in English and free for foreign tourists. More information including how to apply is available on the website https://korean.visitseoul.net/hallyu
